    Bare bones dual monitor setup

I have a friend that wants to get a 2-monitor PC. I told her it'd probably cost about $1,000 but that I'd see how little she would have to pay.

The PC doesn't need to do any gaming, she would only use it for research and internet browsing.

I basically copied the Puppy build and slapped on two monitors, then I made some changes as noted below:

    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7TZYmG

    Changes to Puppy:
    -CPU downgraded to http://pcpartpicker.com/part/amd-cpu-sdx145hbgmbox
    -No CPU cooler necessary?

I'm wondering if since it's not going to be designed as a gaming PC if there are some other areas I could downgrade in order to save money?

    Thanks!

If she doesn't have a PC id suggest building something with a intel i3 CPU and not something that won't even need a cooler.
Might also be a idea to look for 2 monitors second hand?
Also remember that you can use a TV aswell.

I'd go for a graphics card with an APU. They should be able to support 1080p dual monitor setups as long as she's not doing any intense gaming. Then you can drop the graphics card and get a significantly weaker PSU.
