    Online vs Real Life

How does your personality switch between the two, and do you consciously project that personality, or is it natural?

Too many commas? Fuck if I know.

Anyways, I'm pretty much a lowkey asshole both sides, though in real life, i'm quiet with new people, and then usually unleash a one line asshole floor move on them, if i catch them slipping. I find myself getting more and more angry with each passing day, so my asshole twitch has been kicking in more frequently.

Online, I usually just say it how I see it, or as sarcastic as I can be, while also keeping a layer of truth or my opinion attached to it.

My personality online and offline is the same, except inasmuch as I'm much more willing to talk about gaming related things online.

I'm just more quiet irl, probably because I don't care much about non-gaming stuff.

I'm not nearly as much a prick in real life. :/

I also don't joke much, or speak, i just..

Kind of, stand there, looking like you killed my mother.

Really, i'm fairly quiet and really only speak when required or i'm pulled into a discussion, i'm also very friendly irl; Both to animals and humans.

I feel like I am the same as real life. But I am probably not. I act fabulous online and real life.

    ..because I am fabulous.

Really confident online, especially around women. Less so irl.

In general pretty much the same though.

I tend to be more calm and reserved with my online persona, mostly because what you say can be forgotten, what you type is forever saved in a database somewhere. I'd rather not have a future employer investigate me only to find that I curse, insult, and belittle every person I interact with online.

And no matter how sneaky you think you're being with separating your online persona and RL, someone, somewhere, will be able to connect the two.

I'm the same on and offline.

It is too much of a fuck around to maintain 2 personas. Especially when I can just be a dick everywhere.

I'm kind of the opposite. I tend to be the guy who always gives his opinion even when it's unwanted. I even tend to answer questions meant for my boss in meetings with the bigwig types. I was the guy in school back in the day who always raised his hand. It's a bad habit I'm trying to control a bit better.

I'm outspoken and assertive and I'm interested in the world, news, politics, economics, and just general stuff that most people don't seem to like talking about. Meanwhile I couldn't care less about sports, reality TV, celebrities, home improvement, and other such things people seem to care about. Part of the result of that is that for a cross-section of the general public, I tend to come off as annoying and condescending. Luckily, I control myself a lot better than I did when I was half my current age, so I get along with most people just fine. Unfortunately, there's still that 5% who find me insufferable.

I say what I mean and mean what I say; being online or in person changes nothing. But for the people who do behave differently, I think their online persona is their true nature. If someone turns into a prick just because the internet is safer, then that person is an asshole at heart.

I am more aggressive in real life when dealing with other peoples bullshit. In game I mediate petty drama much more calmly.
In game I Just kind of flow around it easier but irl I run over stuff. lol ^_^

    Pretty much the same.

If I get subsequently annoyed in real life I will explode, if I get subsequently annoyed online I will explode.

Overall I'm a quiet person. I barely ever talk in real life nor online unless spoken to.

I am becoming progressively more intolerant as i age. This is primarily because of my online experiences. I experience far more shit that pisses me off online than i do IRL. In "Real" life, i am actually quite laid back, online however, i seem to fall squarely into the role of Conservative Patriarchal Oppressor.

I do some times sit back and wonder at how easily the rage flows at the random online retardation.

I'm a Gemini, so it comes naturally to me. And since I work in IT, both are almost always going full tilt.
