Almost half of is was botted hours using macros to keep his character online while he slept. Already in talks with GMs to have that title removed. While its not illegal in game, he claims he is online when he is actually asleep. That's false advertising and not conducive to the TOS of Twitch.

Unless you have a severe disability that prevents you from going outside, some kind of autism or other problems to socialize and be with people ... it is fucking sad to waste seven and a half hours per day, for 9 years, playing videogames.
If gaming is their life, who are we to judge?
Live and let live. Simple as that.
Does a dislike of socialising/being around other people count as a severe disability? Or should I force myself to do something I don't want too/enjoy doing, to go outside, because otherwise by someone else's metric I'm wasting my time?
People that have enough time to judge other people's lives probably have no life themselves.
/Played is a bad judge of nolife imo i have alot but tons of it is from afk camping crap whil tabbed out doing work and crap
Nixs
I don't see much of a difference on a person who has 20 days or 1000 days on a video game. Who are you to judge?
I started playing WoW in 2007, since then I have taken several breaks that were each a couple months long and I have well over 1,000 days played across my three accounts. Some of that time was spent dual boxing, so I was racking up time played on several accounts at once, but I have over 700 days played on my main alone. I graduated HS with a 3.7GPA and went straight into the work force. I got a decent full-time job straight out of school and have been working steadily ever since, no real need to go to college right now. I did all of this while I continued to play WoW.
I would definitely describe myself as an introvert. I don't go out and party or go to any social gatherings for that matter (unless it's something like a family members wedding or something of that sort). I bust my ass at work and spend the majority of my free time playing WoW. I don't have a girlfriend and I honestly don't want one. I enjoy the hell out of being single and being able to make my own rules do whatever the hell I want to do.
You aren't going to change my lifestyle by telling me that playing WoW is unhealthy, especially while you are sitting on the forums with over 10x the amount of posts that I have made. You spending times on these forums is no different that me spending time on WoW.
Also - The "get a life" argument is extremely pathetic as well. I think you need to stop worrying about everyone else and start worrying about yourself.

It is amazing to me how many people live their lives so concerned with other people. That is what's really sad.
Who cares how someone spends their free time. And Free time isn't a bad thing that means you have "no life", it is a gift to be able to spend so much time having fun. Not everyone gets that option.
In fact, Someone who can play videogames for 8 hours a day arguably has more of a "life" than someone who has to work all day. The person playing video games has free time to enjoy themselves, while the person who has to work instead isn't.
Isn't that a lot people's dream that inspires them to work hard though? The idea that you might one day be able to have that much free time to enjoy yourself.

7.5 Hours a day x 7 days a week = 52.5 a week
add 40 hours a week of a full-time job and 56 for 8 hours of sleep daily each week.
Subtract that 148.5 From the 168 hours in each week and you get 19.5
That's 20 hours a week to do anything else. If you take into consideration that we're fast approaching WoW's 10 year anniversary, it's not unlikely that the streamer in questions 1000 days of playtime are spread over more than 9 years. Seems fine to me.
He is the life of guilds he has never joined.
He once had a noobish moment- just to see what it felt like.
If he were to beat you in a duel, you would have to fight the strong urge to thank him.
The Lunar Elders have a holiday in which they honor him.
He can speak Darnassian. In Orcish.
He is: The Most Interesting Man in the World of Warcraft.
Most probable answers are botting and afking.
But another thing that came to my mind is addon development and debugging those shitty lua scripts. Thaaat takes quite some time being in-game
well i think ppl who throw the no life comment around need to take a good look at their life and decide how amazing and forfilling it is before spouting nonsense like they wrote the damn guide book on what having or living a life actually is.
imo if your happy, you have a life. if your able to breath and have a conciousness, you also have a life. no life pfft, what makes anyone the damn expert, how many successful lives have you lived through then? to judge what a good one is or having one is.
is having a wife and kids having a life, is having a 6 figure job having a life, is being successful having a life. all subjective bullshit.
personally i enjoy gaming, i don't quite have 1000 days played on any one game but combined gaming time, sure probably well over 1000 days, ive enjoyed it, whos to tell me otherwise?
happiness is by far the only thing you need to find in life to have lived a good one, plenty of ppl go through life fucking miserable and die miserable, if you live a happy life you've lived one better than a lot of others. doesn't matter what you do during it, all that matters is the search for what makes you happy.
i'm sorry this sounded a bit ranty but i have had some ppl say this to me 'heathy you have no life mate all you do is play your computer' do you follow me around 24/7 no, its just self righteous nonsense and it pisses me off, what makes your life so fucking special, how many diseases have you cured, how many lives have you saved.. none? so whats so damn special about what you do. some ppl collect stamps, some ppl build models, i game, deal with it. my happiness is none of your concern.

I have easily 850+ days /played across all my toons, I'd say easily 3/4ths of that time is spent just AFK.
Seems sort of unbelievable that he has actively played about 7.5 hours per day for nine years. I'm quite sure that during most of these he just went AFK or let his PC run. Then again, why would anyone care? It's his life and if you accumulated all the hours people spend doing useless and weird stuff, you would probably get an even higher value.
Really laughed at the excerpt of the "Make Love, not Warcraft" episode. Gotta watch that again sometime.
