No, it isn't accurate. Firstly, not all of the men involved were immigrants, though it is true to say the majority were of Pakistani descent (from reports, at least). Secondly, it wasn't just down to racism that this was covered up, the victims were not taken seriously / were looked down on by the authorities. They were children from poor households, sometimes from care homes, who would have likely been known to the police before hand.

It was a mixture of fear of being labelled racist, the want to cover up their own failings, and the contempt they gave the children. All equally as condemnable reasons.

It says "The inquiry team noted fears among council staff of being labelled "racist" if they focused on victims' descriptions of the majority of abusers as "Asian" men." that doesn't make it valid or the complete story

The authorities were incompetent, and influenced by Left-Wing anxieties surrounding race. It was no coincidence that the vast majority of the perpetrators were of Pakistani origin. That the abuse was allowed to go on was in part due to the race of the perpetrators, and the authorities fearing being labelled racists if they suggested that individuals of Pakistani origin were gang raping girls.

Amazingly, no one is being held accountable. No one is being sacked. The local police and Rotherham council are a total disgrace, and have lost all credibility. Not only should there be mass sackings, but criminal charges should be brought.

Read about it this morning, it's absolutely shocking how the whole system just brushed victims aside. It's a colossal failure to do their job, to follow the law and to codes of conduct and it's resulted it horrendous crimes. Really hope the people responsible for letting this go on are brought to court.
