No. What's wrong with season one ?
Forum discussions are almost completely worthless to developers. It is a bunch of uninformed idiotic users screaming their untested crappy ass ideas over everyone else. Real data comes from studying what people do in game, how they react to changes, etc.
If I wanted to do the campaign again, I would have done so at this point. Adventure Mode made levelling fun and doing it with a seasonal character was very fun. Only thing I want to get fixed is the levelling boosts from quests like Miner's Gold, since that was just a bunch of bullcrap (not only did you level faster, but the rewards were several times better than if you just did Bounties and Rifts normally).
Other than that, season 1 has been off to a good start I think.

Having to go through the campaign again would be awful. It's really boring.
"Quack, quack, Mr. Bond."
The way I initially thought seasons worked was that you had to go through campaign again. I'm ambivalent.
adventure mode can work but you need to do certain things
1. REMOVE ALL NO-kill bounties OR Make torment not availible until level 70 The abusers killed season leveling for me, the whole point is that everyone is on a FAIR playing field and to COMPETE AT LEVELING not compete who is fastest at abusing a certain quest
2. MAKE NONE A1 bounties more efficient, if you thought that miner's gold which was the most efficient leveling method was boring as hell so you leveled using actual bounties you used act 1 bounties because act 2, 3 4 and 5 bounties are extremely inefficient, some more variety would be great.
The playing field was fair. Everyone could have done it. Everyone was doing it.
They should have focused just on achievements, who killed which rift level the fastest, who killed boss x the fastest, in which type of group (solo,2,3,4).
All that kind of stuff is relevant, but leveling in a game where you can level in literally an hour, shouldn't have been relevant.
You can just implement the questing fix that is implemented already for bounties as well. Spamming the same bounty will have diminishing returns so if you do the same bounty 5-10 times in a row you won't receive any xp. In addition to that you can make some effort to balance classes better, demon hunters are so far ahead currently it ain't even funny, there's a reason the first 2 guys at 70 and at killing mathael t6 were both demon hunters.
I don't really think doing the campaign again in a new season nets the game much of anything. There area already players capable of clearing acts 1-5 in 2 to 3 hours. Which would just let those players into bounty mode quicker and inconvenience everyone else. It's not like doing the campaign is a special challenge either.
So what is the point?
I think some of the resentment at the speed of the top players is at the root of the objection to adventure mode being unlocked in the new season. A lot of players think they are better than what they truly are but the myth they have created for themselves rationalizes adventure mode as the reason those "other guys" progressed so quickly.
Though the truth is those top players were likely going to be at or near the top ahead of the majority player base in manner that makes the complaints null and void.
I am not a D3 god of monster slaying. But I don know how to play D3, ARPGs and farm efficiently. When the season opened I saw some streamers playing HC that were 10-20 levels ahead of me even playing at what I thought was my "best". I am not so vain to believe that I am in that strata of playing ability.
Those players were gonna beat me adventure mode or not. I just played the best I could.
Fair, sure.
However, I doubt blizzard will agree with it being intended. Didn't they say the game was about killing mobs every time they nerfed t6 chest/pot runs?

How the hell would that ruin bounties?
It would make people unable to reset and only do nokill bounties, and it would change nothing if people actually did bounties normally.
Edit: I would like to see some changes to the leaderboards. Currently the season lasts for a day or 2, then everything is beaten.
If they made it for example fastest rift tier clears(from entering, not from season start) and awarded achievement to top x when the season ended, it would have far more replay value.
The problem, if there really is one, wasnt adventure mode being open but that one or two of the quests were able to be done on t6 without killing anything. Fix that and you fix whatever issues people have with season one.
Even doing bounty leveling without looking for the quests only took a few hours max for a lot of players. I know in my group we all hit 70 in a 5 hours of bounty grinding and we werent seriously trying to speed level. Getting to level 70 wasnt even anything to race for honestly, the real season race is grifts.

Chars should start at 70 and just activate those dumb transmogs after you reached paragon 100 or something.
bounties should have been locked, if your starting fresh then start fresh
The issue was not adventure mode. The campaign can be sped through easily via norm, just killing the necessary mobs. Then they would proceed to spam the No-Kill bounties.
The easiest fix would be to edit the bounties like Miner's Gold and req the remaining mobs to be killed before the quest completes, or even give it a purple boss. Now all bounties require something to be killed.
Either that or just start us at 70, the leveling part is extremely trivial, none of the mats or gear matter.
