Extending Heroic Lockout Question

My guild is 8/14 Heroic for the week.

Next week, once lockouts expire, if this lockout is extended to continue attempts on Malk is everyone saved again to that Heroic ID upon entering? Or does that not apply because it was an extended lock?

Ex: We extend the lockout and do Heroic Malk attempts and do not kill him. Can we reset and do the previous 8 on heroic?

Sorry if this information is readily available somewhere, I googled for half and hour, searched on this on forum, couldn't find anything.

No. Once you enter a heroic raid even if the lockout is extended you will get an "Accept" or "Decline" pop up if you do not click Accept in 60 seconds you get kicked out the same as if you Decline and clicking accept on a heroic lockout automatically saves you to that lockout for that week so no you will not be able to go back.
