    Ladies - Straight men in gay bars, more attractive or no?

    Simple question. I'm curious if women who met a straight guy in a gay bar would find him more attractive than usual due to how comfortable he is with himself, or less attractive?

    I'm stuck on the whole idea of straight people going to gay bars to hook up. That's like vegan speed dating at a BBQ.

    I have not been to a gay bar in about 10 years, but last time I went it was almost all gay with the rare exceptions of a few straight women that wanted a night out without being flirted with by men. Now straight guys seem to have started going to these bars to pick up these women, you also get more women coming to pick up those men and all the gays are getting confused as fuck.

    It does, in fact.

    When I go to gay bars with my friends, there is usually at least one predatory straight guy who is looking to hook up with them.

    What they don't realize is that "gay" also includes lesbian, so they usually go home disappointed or at the very least confused.

    As other people said, this kind of defeats the point, and I'm thinking some gay people in the bar might be annoyed that you're just going to their safe space to do what you could be doing anywhere else.

    Also, as a girl who doesn't go out much myself but who has friends who do : there's a reason why straight girls go to gay bars... they don't want to be hit on !

    I had an old friend who did drag, so a group of us went to his drag show at some gay bar around here, i did end up meeting a woman there. Wasn't expecting to, but apparently a good amount of girls go to gay bars with their friends, because they don't usually get hit on.
