I'm 100% sure that at least one of the 2000+ people who have viewed my post have double thought their porn habits. If one person has chosen to address their porn issue and lead a happier sex life, this thread would have been worth it.

The researched benefits of yanking it would seem to agree that stopping is bull. If you have a focus problem because of masturbation your mental issues run deeper I would think. If stopping helps you that's great, I guess but I feel bad for you.

You can easy fix it by getting addiceted to something else.

Dopamine is a **** but you can fix it with this:
*Decrease your sugar intake.
*Take tyrosine.
*Eat bananas. (we are stil monkeys)
*Decrease caffeine intake.
*Take vitamins for depression.

Never said I have a focus problem. Where did I say that? If anything it's a benefit. If I don't have time to wank for a few days and I get a mental buzz from it, then I would consider that pretty advantageous.

I watch porn pretty regularly, moreso than most, I would assume. It doesn't effect anything in my life in a negative light. My husband and I watch things together as well, we find it pretty normal and enjoyable. Also, my fetishes have never changed or "gotten more extreme." I can just as easily not watch it as watch it, it's not like cigarettes that give me that harsh and constant 'need' to smoke.

I just don't see how it can be considered an addiction unless you are very VERY susceptible to addiction. If that is the case, then stay the hell away from real addictive things.

Anyhow, my 2 cents. While I see nothing wrong with porn as such, and in moderation.
I'd not consider it normal when it's nothing but a substitute. And when it gets excessive it's an issue.

In food terms... It's okay as a garnish, and ideally enjoyed together with the partner. It's not meant to be the entree..

I don't smoke or drink or gamble.

I've never been addicted to anything else in my life. I've grown up with an over reliance to porn and that's pretty much it.
