Besides the actual unexploded munitions, there must have been some collector or museum who would have wanted those things. Or just take away the dangerous bits and let him keep the uniforms and rifles and all that.

Any artillery *shells* he may have had should have been destroyed, but the hardware, the firearms, and the uniforms... destroying those is just ignorant and banal.

It's unexploded live artillery rounds... first option is always to blow up unexploded bombs as it puts people in the least amount of danger.

No, they shouldn't have destroyed the ordinance. It isn't hard to remove the explosives from them. Then they're just shells, empty, and still look like they did. Destroying all that fucking history...oh my god, that angers me so much, I really wish I hadn't seen this.

I can understand destroying any live ammunition/explosives, but that should be all.

It's beyond stupid if they did away with all the other stuff. Even the guns could be safe to keep in a museum or something (pretty sure something can be done to make them useless as firearms but still mostly intact besides that).
