    Question static questions

So... I've got a headset with a decent mic on it but I can't set it to high quality because when I do this , there is always a shit ton of static in the background... now I was thinking... could this be solved by buying a sound card for my computer ? Right now I'm using the onboard sound that came with my mobo... If so : any recommendations ? I don't wanna overspend here

    thanks in advance

could be multiple things. could be the port for the connection. could be the wire in the headset itself. i would personally get a usb headset, i've had mine for around 2 years with no audio problems at all.
You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish.
