Leatherworking Tents?

I'm thinking about ditching Alchemy for WoD as its seeming pretty boring. Was thinking of switching to Leatherworking, mainly for the cute mount, and was hoping to find some other fun reason to take it up.

I see you can make Tents, anyone got any into on what they actually do?

They act as temporary inns and grant a food buff-like effect if you stay in them for 10 seconds. Maybe something else.
