My thoughts exactly. What I would not give to come across Salandrin in a bar. Yes, I have been in a few. My thoughts on them? Sometimes a person needs an ass whooping to get a better perspective on life.
Also, I worked as a bouncer during college so I had official reasons to be involved in some.

Been in one... no not really. Drug other people out of one? Several times. I have gone to bars occasionally, but I don't drink in them, I am either DDing or checking to make sure nobody is causing trouble (And in the later case I am in uniform).

The only serious one I had to stop I had 5 MPs with me... so it was over pretty fast, a fair bit of blood around but no serious injuries.

10 years back and a full head of hair ago, I was standing out the front of a bar with some mate. We were deciding which place to head to next and who we'd convince to pick us up and drive us there. Out of nowhere this big kiwi bloke comes along and king hits a mate. Next thing I know I'm half across the other side of the road with blood pouring out my nose.

Turns out the guy that punched my mate thought he'd had an argument with my friend in the bathroom, so him and his mates decided to beat the crap out of us. The main guy ended up in jail because of it (he'd had warning for threatening to stab his sister).

Apparently I threw a couple of punches, but I don't recall it.

After reading about his experience at the local Starbucks, I can only imagine how big of an ass he could be when drunk. I'm sure hilarity ensues every time he goes out.

No. I've witnessed one in person (and even then it wasn't a full-on barfight as much as it was two drunk dudes bumping chests/arguing), but I didn't participate in any way. Just sat back and enjoyed the show.

Not too often I go to bars. I do most of my drinking at home.

Sort of. One of my friends got into an argument over a pool game with some random guy who eventually got kicked out for being drunk. He was waiting outside at the end of the night and 1v1 my buddy handed it to him. His friends got involved at that point and we tried to keep people from ganging up on him. I didn't throw a punch but someone tried to hit me and my friend ended up with a black eye and knocked out. Pretty ugly and chaotic scene. Glad it was a one time thing.
