Soccer cannot ignore head trauma anymore. Should soccer players wear helmets?

Sure. You can give the "RAWR BE A MAN SPORTS ARE ALL ABOUT GETTING BRAIN DAMAGE" line all you want, but I'm all for anything that prevents concussions or otherwise increases safety as long as it doesn't interfere with the player's ability to play the game. Those light helmets mentioned in the OP seem fine to me.

Would perhaps help against concussions, but then players would probably play even more recklessly. The helmets look stupid, but it's probably a sound idea...

Unless you clatter heads with Wolverine, then you just shrug it off. It's a 'sair yin' don't get me wrong.

For those that have played football, we should wear 'helmets' on our helmets.
