Women play Rugby, unlike American football, they don't have all that protective equipment, regardless, I don't see why not?

If a particular individual female is capable of earning the spot on the team the same way any guy player does, I don't see much reason to reject them.
I wouldn't expect many girls to make the cut, but for those who can, sure go for it. Just realize it's an environment with a bunch of tough guys, hormones flying around, butt smacking and physical injury abounding.
if they can handle getting tackled then they can play whatever position they want.
The reason they don't is generally because they can't. Exceptions exist, but in general the body type needed for football is one which few girls have.

I guess. If she is a big brutish girl who can compete with boys in high school sure. I played footbal and a girl tryed out for our team, and this one guy did not want her to play since she was a girl so he kept targeting her, and there was this one guy who kept touching under her chestplate by accident lol. So i think maybe for kicker, but on the field no.
of course. over here we have female rugby teams and rugby is very similar to american football just without all the body armour and helmets (there are other differences too, but it's no less violent) so why not? if they want to play the sport they should have the opportunity to, same as males. neither gender should be forced (although should be encouraged to try different options to see if they do enjoy any) and neither should be prevented
yeah, sure. if they can take the hits... and give them out...
If they can earn a spot, then yeah. I can just imagine them not making it because they aren't cut out for the team and they take it as a personal attack on their gender more so than their skills. There is no reason to turn down anyone for race/gender if they are capable of competing on your team at a satisfactory level.
No, women should not be allowed to make decisions about their own lives when it comes to sports, politics and serving in the military. Their frail little minds simply can not handle it....
They are much better off cooking and reading fashion magazines.
As long as their are no special rules for them I have no issue what so ever, but the second someone starts asking rules to protect them because they are women I will.
yes? i dont see why not, let people do what they want and stop this gender bias

Some of these guys are really big, too. Females just tend to be less muscular and smaller than guys width and weight wise. Even the biggest of them would still only be on par with an average male football player.
If i was a high school footballer and i found out a girl was going to be on the other team i would be playing in a way that actively avoids contact with her.
