Is a pretty beefy but should fit in a full sized case. The Colors on it are a bit strange.

Name 3 games that aren't compatible with Windows 8.
And yea Windows 7 is cheaper. Also lower performance and is loosing support soon. Yep, definitely the best choice. Start8 and you'll never even remember that it's Windows 8 and still get to enjoy it's performance.
1080p isn't needed either, but we like it. If he wants 4k gaming and can afford it then it's his choice.
They are all pretty much out of stock unless you want to settle for the EVGA Superclocked Reference Model. Might have some of those available still. If you preorder it, you could very well get one available when the parts actually ship on monday. Most people don't recommend the reference because of louder noise and less cooling, but EVGA offers a warranty and they aren't really any different performance wise. Your choice though.
This goes for 970s and 980s. I wouldn't recommend going with anything else out of impatience.
Also, I'm not trying to convince you to use Windows 7. It was sarcasm aimed at the short bus useless comment made about you going for Windows 7 instead. It's annoying to always have the ones that waste time commenting on threads with uninformative useless information and suggestions

You might as well go for the EVGA Superclocked if you're going to settle for that. Looks nicer and you get the warranty. Otherwise just preorder the strix until one comes in stock if you can be a little patient.
Bought everything from newegg and got two 970s from Tigerdirect. Thanks everyone for the help.

Pretty similar build to the one posted before. The decisions mostly reflect my brand preferences and what I have had good experiences with. Either way I just love doing these things. Good luck!

Less performance for more money. If you're into that kind of thing.
To the above build, 4770k is a waste. Same price as 4790k yet runs hotter and has less clock speed out of the box. Corsair RM is meh. The seasonic i linked is more reliable, probably quieter, and just slightly more while also getting Platinum cert. OP doesn't seem to want the AIO coolers either. The mobo is going to need to be Z97 for a 4790k as well.

I would suggest maybe going 1440p rather than 4k. I t is a difference that is noticable but still much easier to drive. 4k suffers from bad ui problems, while 1440k does also suffer from those it is not as bad.
Or maybe just grab a 1080p g-sync monitor.

Personally I would take a 1080p 144hz monitor such as the Asus VG248QE over a 4k any day, but I prefer performance over picture quality.

What case did you decide on? The h100i is a 240mm rad and it should list in the case specs where and how large a radiator can be fitted.
He probably would have got a much better reception from people if he had checked out:

first.

Is the case I got. So I guess I can fit it on the bottom, front or top?
