I have a friend who always uses gg to mean "game is done, we lose" cause he'll always say it after something bad has happened. So that ruined gg for me forever. I fucking hate gg now and I never use it.

GG can also mean "good group" just so you know.
Like how GTG can mean "good to go" but it can also mean "got to go."

In my opinion its like the F word! It can be used to mean lots of things just depends on context!
E.g
"GG"
"GG man"
"awww f**ckin GG"
"ololololo GG"
