Lock out questions for SoO N

Hello, I have a lockout to galakras, but a friend has a lockout for paragons, how do i "jump" to his lockout? does he have to make the group?

If he's leader, the raid will be on Paragons. You're eligible to join if you've only killed bosses before Paragons, and on normal mode. As soon as you get saved to Paragons though you can't do any bosses before it.
