How would you do your funeral service?

Cremated someone last week, and it was the same as always:

Lines of people sitting, sad music, a preacher that says a few words, close relatives that say a few words, more sad music, final goodbye and then a reception sort of thing with coffee and a slice of cake.

That has pretty much been every funeral service ive been too so far. And it always makes me think: Fuck no im not going out like this.

When i go out, i want an open bar, i want everyone to become hammered. No sitting down, party tables everywhere. No generic light, a slightly darkened room with a soothing yet sad colourscheme. A band or a DJ. Make it a party.

A beamer projecting pictures and video´s of me doing dumb shit, so everyone can have a big last laugh.
And maybe a fireworks show after the whole thing.

A funeral that signifies the way i lived.

I do not want a funeral. But after you are dead, it is up to the family. Personally I want to be cremated ( cheaper ) and then my wife or family can do what they want with the ashes. But no memorial service is fine. No need to burden my surviving family members with a cost. The money can be spent in other ways much better. Usually you will see a bunch of hypocrites at funerals anyway. Like in the case of my dad, family members would never go visit him while he was alive, showed up to show their respects. Best to show someone respect while they are still alive.

Personally, I am sure I will not after I am dead. But I have told my wife there is no need to spend anymore to get rid my remains which is legally necessary and for any type of memorial which will cost her money she can use for better and more needed stuff.

the last funeral I was at... one of my best friends. fuck, I've been near a nervous breakdown.. I - at some point - started to cry like I never thought was possible. My whole body went into seizure kind of a state.
It was all cool and everything, until they played that damn song.. It was his favorite song, and I don't know how often we've sang it at our club in all beer moods and stuff.. That's when I've gone down south.
