I thought in the pre-patch and WoD release we would be able to turn off in-game sounds and still be able to hear the npc speaking. I don't wanna hear spells from everyone in the raid going off at the same time, but I'd like to be able to hear Garrosh screaming and yelling out during raid. So, am I remembering it wrong that we could do this or am I just doing something completely wrong in the sound settings?
can confirm that on beta you can disable sound(effects) and still hear dialogue (npc´s, bosses etc.)
on live, this feature is still there (read: the slider for dialogue volume), but its not working. once you disable sound(effects), voice-over is also muted.
Alright, cool. I knew I read something about that and figured it would be bugged because PTR was the same way. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon I know their hotfixing a bunch of stuff today.
