Oblivious Vikings Online is a freshly formed guild on Ahn'Qiraj.
We mainly consist of a group of friends who have played WoW together on and off for many years. The guild's core raiding team consists of dedicated and experienced players who have all raided High end Heroic from Vanilla to Pandaland.
Our expectations are high in all aspects of the game. We are seeking anyone who takes the game seriously and wants to improve as a player.
We prefer people who have experience with high end Heroic content, but we are willing to give people a test run if they can make a strong case for why they are up to the task.

So what are our expectations more specifically to new players?

1. We expect a 90 % attendance to raids and a dilligent use of the Calendar well in advance.
2. We expect you to know your class very well, and have an understanding of every standard scenario in a raid. We also expect you to constantly improve your knowledge and skill with regards to your class and spec(s). We do not expect perfection, but we want you to seek it.
3. We expect you to give 100 % in every encounter. Even on the 25th try and after the 4th repair bill on the same boss.
4. We expect you to know every raid encounter before we face it. This means reading about it, watching videos (if available), and generally taking the time to discuss, or atleast consider by yourself, what to do in a given boss encounter.
5. We expect you to do anything and everything to optimize the stats and itemization of your character.

What can you expect from us?

1. A dedicated team of Officers who sometimes seemingly never sleep. We aim to be the very most dedicated people in the raid, and will constantly try to challenge anyone for top DPS/HPS and least fuck ups.

2. A no bullshit environment where progress is in the forefront. When we raid, we raid. Chit chat is not prohibited during trash, but you can expect us to do everything we can to keep the raids efficient and serious.

3. A friendly and helpful environment. When outside of a raid feel free to ask us anything and everything. Some of us really like helping. Others tolerate it. Any way you take it this is not a guild where you should be afraid to ask for anything. We want to help you become the best players you can possibly be.

4. Steady progress. Everyone in the guild right now is in it for the long haul. If you stay with us and peform well, you WILL beat the high end content.

Raiding aside we price ourselves on being a fun guild to be in. The humor and the tone is very easy to get into and we make a habit of including everyone we can in and outside of raids.

We are also aiming to have raiding on the side for people who want to learn how to play the game. So if you are very new, or just inexperienced, and looking for a place to belong, we might be just the place for you.
