    Night Terrors

Question ? Do any of you ever get Night Terrors ? When I say this I mean dreams so Realistic and terrifying that it scares you even as a grown adult . I have them all the time and they have physical side effects . One side effect is that I am being squeezed to death ....another that I am buried alive and cannot breath ....another is that a terrifying presence is with me in a dark room and wanting to harm me . I can't hardly describe what I see but imagine it is 100x more scary than anything you have seen in a movie ....Just curious has anyone else ever felt this stuff ?

just because you call them night terrors does not mean that they arent happening to you.

I've only had one where a shadow thing on my wall started attacking me, I woke up with a painful feeling in my arm so I guess it was caused by sleeping in an awkward position.

Night terrors are really amazing though, our mind can really fuck with us. What we see and interpret with our brains in our day to day lives doesn't even scratch the surface of what they are capable of imaginatively.

Are you under a lot of stress?

Squeezed and buried, both are being out of control and trapped.

To answer OP, what you have is called sleep paralysis which is different from night terrors.

Sounds like sleep paralysis night terrors usually leave no memory to the sufferer and freak out the rest of the household...

yeah OP you are experiencing lucid dreaming or maybe even spontaneous astral projection. I used to experience it too couple of years ago, especially one pretty scary dream in which some dark figure was sitting near my bed and it was mumbling something and I couldn't even move nor scream. Thanks God it stopped after time, it was pretty teriffying.

Sorry guys it is REALLY scaring me . The things that come when I am asleep are so horrible I wish I can solve this :-( .... I don't want to think about such terrible things

Read about sleep paralysis brother... Seems you might be under the effects of this phenomena...
I've experienced since i was mby 12 i think, im 26 today, scared me shitless countless times.
Much of your experiences resemble mine... Even had alien VISIT LAWL....
    (all sleep paralysis D/W)...

I think if you read about it and understand it you might not be so scared of them...
past many times i've had sleep paralysis experiences (aka VERY VIVID DREAMS/NIGHTMARE).
I've seen a dark presence, but rather then being scared of it i was like "IMMA BEAT YO ASS GET OVER HERE".
Wasnt a very good tactic, presence / nightmares still came, i was no longer afraid just reacted in a aggresive manner when it happened...

Positive feelings aka love - care etc actually makes the entities go away, and yeah i havent had a "SP experience in a months", and my last Sleep paralysis experience that was bad, is YEARS old...

Hope it helps you, helped me alot to just to "PLACEBO" myself strong.
Best way is to be loving and happy....

Fyi sleep paralysis can happen due to lack of vitamins / minerals or due to stress / worries.

Some people just have them from they were kids. Some people even drug themselves so much to avoid "SP" so they dont dream at all, which imho is rather sad.

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR NIGHTLIFE, BEAT THOSE SORRY ENTITIES WITH LOVE OR FISTS W/E WORKS FOR YOU! (both worked for me lawl, former better then latter).

Fyi i've been strangled by shadow beings COUNTLESS TIMES....
Dark shadow entities have been standing on my chest with HUGE ROWS OF teeth.

Reason so many people experience suffocation during SP is because our body is basically still asleep - but our brain
keeps pumping out the drug that makes us dream.
So Brain wakes up - body havent - your pulse is still low, you're breath is also slow as a result...

So basically you are barely breathing... Thats why so many experience strangulation and stuff. !!!!

ITS ALL IN OUR HEAD BRAWG... Read about some positive SP experiences, try to avoid the ghastly...
Im sure your's and mine experiences is enough "bad info/experience"

    Yes!

I used to have them on a weekly basis, before I even knew there was a term for it 'Night Terrors'.
I thought I was maybe going insane.
I thought it was maybe ghosts or demons.
I didn't know what it was but it was horrifying and I became an insomniac, underweight, and sickly.

    Here's a couple examples I went through:

Waking at 3am with two imp like creatures inches from my face screaming at me...I could feel their breath on my cheek.
Waking and looking around the room to be grabbed by my roommate shaking me violently...only to have him disappear before my eyes...while my heart was pounding out of my chest.
Waking in complete paralysis...unable to move and barely breath, only able to move my eyes, while feeling the darkest hatred directed at me from a dark shadowy figure standing in the doorway.
Waking to an old lady with scraggly hair floating over me, yelling at me "I'M NOT DEAD! I'M NOT DEAD!!"

I don't know why it all stopped, but thankfully it did...but this went on for years....
I feel your pain, my friend.

Several years ago I went through about a year where I got them fairly frequently. Mine were never really associated with a dream I could remember having. but they were all the same. I would be asleep, and them instantly awake...often time bolting upright. For about a minute I would be absolutely terrified. I would be breathing heavy, sweating, and feel absolutely full of adrenaline.

It's kind of weird and somewhat irrational, but I always had the feeling I had just been returned by aliens following an abduction. I would feel like they were still in my room and watching me, or trying to sneak out. When I would shoot up and awake I would often quickly scan the area to make sure they still weren't there.

Very strange, and very scary stuff.
Get a grip man! It's CHEESE!

Most of us have experienced similar crap, my advice is go to bed on time, clear your mind of worries and if they persist seek a specialist. Getting 4-5 hours of sleep and leaving the TV on at night seemed to be my trigger, I experienced several episodes throughout a month but once I corrected those I haven't experienced any more instances of sleep paralysis.

Just about everyone will have a nightmare which is what you have been experiencing. Most of the time they mean nothing however other than your brain exercising it's imagination. Sometimes they can be the result of something you fear in real life or a desire. I would not be too concerned about them unless they are happening too often.

I do have a couple experiences with dreams in real life I find interesting however.....

One is when my wife woke me up crying in the middle of the night, she said she kept seeing her brother on a operating table and he was in trouble. Come to find out a day or 2 later, her brother who was in the Air Force had to have a emergency operation for a ruptured appendix. He came close to dying on the operating table and a later check revealed the time he was being operated on was the time my wife woke up from her nightmare.

Two is when my mother-in-law had a vivid dream which she saw a airplane with one engine on fire and a bunch of stuff flying out of the plane as it flew. She found out a few days later one of her sons was flying to a new station ( he was in the air force ), unknown to her and on the way, one of the engines caught fire and they had to lighten the plane's load by throwing luggage out as they descended to make a emergency landing.

That is so horrible and sounds like what I go feel everyday ...it's so scary . Im not a baby but unless you know this feeling you cannot identify . Personally I would rather face the worst WAR situation than a night terror . At least with war you know who and what the enemy is .

Yes, night terrors was a great episode of doctor who.

Joking aside i personally have never had a dream like you described, i have had some pretty fucking realistic nightmares but nothing like that.

I do tend to die a lot in my dreams though, i could list plenty of way i died.

I discovered this documentary a few years ago.
It helped me heal a bit, to realize others had gone though similar experiences.
I could finally put a name to it.

This is some scary shit though...
