    No more MPQ files in WoW?

    A rather obscure thread: I downloaded MPQ extractor and I notice that no results are showing up in WoW's folder for .mpq's

    Any help?

    Patch 6.0 moved the file format to the CASC file format. No more MPQ's

    I really hope there's an extractor for CASC files.

    Edit: There doesn't seem to be any CASC files via search

    Do a search for "CASCexplorer". Since the format is new and proprietary to Blizzard it might take a while for tools to appear. Appear they will though.
