Hi all,

There is two headset threads on the front page but one was for comfort and the other was for money is no object so it seemed wrong to piggy back on these.

Basically a while ago my siberias started suffering from the right earpiece issues and I have finally got into a position to replace them. My budget seems to be in the sub-100 pound bracket so I'm not expecting any cutting edge sennheisers (though I am gutted to have missed out on the reduced 350se's when they were discontinued).

Quick basic information about my setup - my "soundcard" is basically the on-board sound of the asus p67 sabretooth motherboard.

So I was wondering:
a) would an USB soundcard headset would be better than the on-board sound?
b) what would be the best option for me in my budget?

The new razer chroma headset (similar to the kraken usb) looks shiny but I'm trying hard to be subjective and not a razer fanboy (though I do already have a naga and a blackwidow). I have heard good things about qpad qh-90s but this would then rely on my onboard sound?

All opinions welcomed thanks
