    New Build Help (First Time)

    Hello,

I'm looking to make a build between the price range of $500-$650 CDN. The budget does not require peripherals as I still have those; however I do require an OS (prefer windows 7 over 8). I don't need anything crazy powerful, looking to play games like WOW around the 25-30 FPS range on medium to high settings in a raid environment. Obviously would like to leave room for upgrades down the road as well as more money becomes available.

Thanks in advance for your help/feedback & if you have any further questions just let me know!

    Cheers,

    Ouchie

The only reasons you should even consider windows 7 would be to keep using software/hardware that isn't compatible or if you require windows media center for copy once cable card content and don't wish to spend an extra 60$ for that feature. Assuming none of that is a problem set aside your grudges, watch a few modern ui tutorial videos, or if you absolutely must, Install one of the many free or paid replacement menus.

When money permits add another 4gb of ram, ssd, and a decent aftermarket cpu cooler so you can overclock that beast.
