I was just wondering if work orders yield more mats when the assigned follower is at level 100...or is it only important that there is a follower?

I've gotten 1 Burnished Leather with a lvl 92 leatherworking follower twice now. My lvl 97 inscription follower seems to be giving 2 War Paints almost every time. It seems like follower lvl does have an effect.
