Thread: GPU Temps WoD

    GPU Temps WoD

I bought a new setup back in March and have been used to running everything on ultra. 190+ fps in areas of Azeroth are common.

I've noticed that since WoD my GPU has been getting noticeably louder so I checked the temps.

It seems to be peaking at about 67 degrees but drops to around 35 degrees when alt-tabbed out of WoW.

    Is this excessive?

    8gb 1600mhz Ram

    Cheers

GPUs can handle about 90-100 degrees (not advisable).

67 is perfectly fine. If you think the fan is to loud, download MSI afterburner and make a custom fan profile. You still have some room to play with temperature wise. I prefer to not have my GPU run hotter than 80 degrees for example.

    ^^

Ah great, thanks for that. My GPU came with some software called GPU Tweak which lets me mess about with fan speeds and target temps.

I'm not so concerned about the extra noise though, just so long as I know those temps are ok.

    Cheers again.
