Problem checking the follower gear? Try this addon.

Currently the follower gear is only visible on the mission table if you click the follower tab.

I checked the WoW code and found that all the code to display the item information on the follower list at the minimap button is already in place but hidden.

Thus I wrote a small addon to show the information.

followers dont get gear until they are lvl 100 and then the panels show up with thier ilvl info
