Didn't know it either until just now. I was prepared to drown like, 10 gnomes if he made it up.

How do you not understand why your comments are false? Your comment was "if you weren't happy with the percentage chance you had then you were never going to get it anyway'. That is *false*. Plain and simple. If you're unhappy with the percentage chance you have...you can level the appropriate followers up through OTHER missions, then come back to the one you originally wanted to do, and have a higher percentage chance. Is it that English is hard for you, or logic? I can't tell.
Missions have some sort of timer where they disappear. How is it crying to ask for that timer to be displayed, so that someone can make a decision as to how they want to deal with that mission? The timer is already there, somewhere. Its not exactly crazy to ask for it to be displayed.
Hell, even a warning somewhere in the introductory parts about the facts that missions can expire would be useful for a lot of people, because many who play WoW don't venture to forums or other websites to learn that sort of thing. Garrisons as a whole are explained very poorly in-game, and for something that most players are very involved with at the start of this expansion, that has a ton of different options and ways to do things, that's really not excusable.
This thread has made me single-handedly want to never participate in the MMO-champion community again.
OP --DID. NOT.-- have a day on him to level up or gear up. He had whatever time the mission was listed for and he never reached the iLvl needed to counter most of the mission. It was his own fault for rushing iLvls like that and not being prepared. We all know missions disappear. The expansion has been out for 8 days at this point and there is NO WAY that people haven't noticed this already.
OP never had the time needed to counter the mission. That's his fault. Doesn't make my comment false.
No we don't..
having a 50% chance to do something, wanting to up that % to get a better chance, then come back to find that the mission is just gone?
he had a 50% chance to do it, now he has none, because there's no information given what so ever that missions actually expire.
your comment is false.
I've no idea what to write here.
Gee, we're only a mere 8 days into the expansion and people don't already know everything there is to missions and Garrisons?!? Good grief.
In my case, I got home from work, saw the quest was still there, so I sent a follower on another mission so he'd get the full experience and increase the odds from 80% to 100%. Had I known it was going to end, I wouldve just done it, and probably succeeded. Stop with this "you were never going to get it anyway" nonsense.
I had a bunch of low level quests that were gold or crap like giant potions but no resource missions so I thought I would wait a day to see if they went away but after 24 hours they didnt so I ended up throwing resources at them just to clear them out so I could get resource missions again. It is longer than 24 hours.
It would be nice to get a timer but I am glad to hear that they don't stay infinitely until you throw resources at it to get rid of it.
"We all know missions disappear" are you kidding me :/? I had NO clue that missions dissapear. No guide I've read online has said that.
I was in the same boat as OP. I had a mission that granted a 630 upgrade kit. My success chance was 67%. I was waiting to get some drops that would boost my last follower up 3 ilvls to guarantee a 100% success rate. When I finally got my follower to the appropriate ilvl, the mission was gone. I was gutted. Had I know it would disspear, I would have sent it on the 67% chance.
Why was I waiting you ask? I wasn't about to risk anything other than 90%+ chance for something that would basically be game changing for me. That's why I waited. Not because I was unprepared or waiting around, but because I had a plan. Blizzard should reward careful planning, not remove the rug underneath out feet.
A warning on how long missions will last in your journal is essential. But I guess I can see Blizz not wanting missions to sit in your inventory for a long time; yet I also see offering timers on mission a pretty important courtesy.
had a tempored seal (new Wod seal of fate) mission and I was leveling my follower in order to get it 100% but I got to 94% success rate and then the quest vanished just as I was about to finally get my rate to 100%
I guess it is one of those "you will only get me once" situation, next time you wont take the risk, Also know that there is a finite number of missions (a little over 110), so the one you missed will probably come back soon !
The missions need a countdown, even if it is slightly vague.
Like the auction house countdown "very long, long, medium, short".
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO if I dont do the freaking 30g mission, they will expire?
OHHH SWEETTTTTTTTTTTT !!!
I hate spend GR with these missions :/
Because as your 8 post count indicates, you've made pretty vast contributions thusfar.
Not sure how anyone can really try and make a case AGAINST having some kind of timer. OP isn't a whiner for asking for one, he wasn't waiting around for weeks in order to have the perfect comp, and obviously he checked in on his garrison enough to know that it was a newer mission and thought he'd have time to complete it.
Blizzard: Bosses now also have a chance to drop ponies! A pony makes your character better.
Players: AAARGH ponies are RNG!
Now it's even harder to be perfect. /unsub
They should just make ponies baseline.
LOL @ World of Ponycraft.
