    Hint. It's in the title.

    The dominant warlords of Draenor are warriors (melee): Grommash Hellscream, Blackhand and Kilrogg.

    Ner'Zhul (shaman/shadow priest) had to be threatened with the death of his clan to join the warriors.
    Gul'Dan (warlock) was captured by the warriors and forced to open the Dark Portal.
    Durotan (shaman) was defeated in combat by Blackhand.

    You forgot a few:

    Garrosh - Warrior

    Kilrogg - Warrior

    Varian Wrynn - Warrior

    Blackhand - Warrior

    Azuka - Warrior

    Zaela - Warrior


    The entire dev team is warrior mains - the only characters they know how to write are warriors. Even when they write non-warrior characters, it's usually with a pretty clear Warrior bias/mindset.

    Take Thrall for example, the most-used non-warrior character in WoW, supposedly he is an ele shaman - in practice he engages every fight in the game by running into melee range and trying to hit people with a mace. We know that he can Earthquake so hard he can level cities, or Elemental Blast a god in half (Deathwing) - but whether it's Culling of Stratholme trash or picking a 1v1 with Garrosh - he always engages with Charge->Mace-to-face.

    He specced enhance for a bit and didn't have his keybinds set yet.
