    Brezz / Hysteria Macro or why Lone Wolf is awesome.

    Hey guys,

    Since Lone Wolf seems to be the current talent of choice for Surv (my Spec) I tried to make a support Hunter who is also doing good damage.

    Since LW provides every buff Pets can provide (all of them not just 5) I thought that I could exchange my Buffpets for something else, namely a Crane and a Nether Ray.

    I created Macros to summon the corresponding pet, cast its special and dismiss it right after to regain the Damage bonus. They work for me so I thought I share them for you to enjoy. You will gimp your own DPS a little by simply standing still dismissing your pet, but the buffs for the party are very worth it, especially in 5mans.

    Since I play on a german realm, it would be best if you copy paste the skills from your skillbook because i don't know the exact english names of them100%

    Battle Rezz

    #showtooltip Gift of Chi-Ji(Exotic Ability)
    /castsequence reset=5 Call pet X
    /cast Gift of Chi-Ji(Exotic Ability)
    /cast dismiss Pet
    /Y attempt to resurrect %T!

    X needs to be the number of the Crane
    Ancient Hysteria

    #showtooltip Ancient Hysteria(Exotic Ability)
    /castsequence reset=5 Call pet x
    /cast Ancient Hysteria(Exotic Ability)
    /cast dismiss Pet
    /Y attempt to cast Heroism!

    X needs to be the number of the Nether Ray. Replace Heroism with Blood Lust for Horde

    Keep in mind that you have to stand still to dismiss your pet. Also Battlerezz has a quite short range and the Pet needs to be close to the fallen friend, not you. I was confused at first, since both skills state that they are exotic abilities, however it does work for me. Hopefully Blizzard doesn't nerf this. Both call pet and the skill are off the GCD so all you really need to make sure is that you dismiss your pet properly.

    Thoughts or suggestions?

    Add Aspect of the Fox to it and you won't have to stand still.

    Why pop Fox when you're trying to cast something that does no damage anyway?

    I just found out about this and was looking around. Keep in mind this will drop your lone wolf buff, so when you use either macro you'll need to reapply whatever buff you were giving. Not sure if there is an easy way to have the one up reapplied or not.

    You're asking why you should move when casting something during a fight, whether or not it does damage is irrelevant. I'm guessing you're one of those people that just stand in fire until they die?

    If there is no fire, why use fox?

    I didn't notice that, but that is definitely something to keep in mind. I am unsure how to built it into a macro though.

    Is Fox off the GCD? If not it will derp the macro and you have to rewrite it completely to function again. Since I rarely use fox anyway, this might be an option.

    I think LF is most efficient on the MM spec so no exotic pets there.

    For those who didn't know: non-exotic versions of pets with CR is Crane or Moth. Hero: Nether Ray.

    I dont know why there is "exotic ability" on this macro cause Nether ray nor Crane/Moth aren't exotic.

    Cheers

    (Sry for my english, hope it is understandable :P)

    Why does no one ever read the entire thing? I've stated that I played survival so how should I use exotic pets abilities?

    Maybe it is a bug or whatever, but I copied the skills from the spell books and both have the "Exotic" tag added to them, eventhough neither Nether Ray nor Crane count as exotic pets.
    Both macros work nonetheless, regardless of the exotic tag or which spec you are playing. If you just unsure do like I did and copy the skill from the book and it should work.

    I've tinkered with the macros, tell me what you think:

    #showtooltip Ancient Hysteria(Exotic Ability)
    /castsequence reset=5 Call Pet X
    /use Ancient Hysteria(Exotic Ability)
    /use Dismiss Pet
    /y {rt1} Ancient Hysteria active! {rt1}
    #showtooltip Gift of Chi-Ji(Exotic Ability)
    /castsequence reset=5 Call Pet X
    /use [@mouseover,dead,help][dead,help]Gift of Chi-Ji(Exotic Ability)
    /use Dismiss Pet
    /y {rt8} Resurrecting %T {rt8}
    The following macros require a macro addon that allows you to "extend" your macro character limit. I use Macro Toolkit

    #showtooltip Ancient Hysteria(Exotic Ability)
    /castsequence reset=5 Call Pet X
    /run local f,c="90355",IsInRaid()and "RAID" or IsInGroup(1)and "PARTY" or IsInGroup(2)and "INSTANCE_CHAT";if GetSpellCooldown(f)==0 and c then SendChatMessage("{rt1}" ..GetSpellLink(f).. " Active!{rt1}",c)end
    /use Ancient Hysteria(Exotic Ability)
    /use Dismiss Pet

    #showtooltip Gift of Chi-Ji(Exotic Ability)
    /castsequence reset=5 Call Pet X
    /run local f,c="159931",IsInRaid()and "RAID" or IsInGroup(1)and "PARTY" or IsInGroup(2)and "INSTANCE_CHAT";if GetSpellCooldown(f)==0 and c then SendChatMessage("{rt8} Resurrecting %T {rt8}",c)end
    /use [@mouseover,dead,help][dead,help]Gift of Chi-Ji(Exotic Ability)
    /use Dismiss Pet

    I know its a bit off Topic, but Lone Wolf isnt the Talent of choice, Focusing Shot is.

    LW is the talent of choice unless you can turret the boss (Butcher)

    Actually, it's "unless you can reliably get every FS off (Kargath, Butcher, Twins, Margoth, Brackenspore (depending on your role))"
