Have you ever attacked someone for having a different opinion?

Example: Say if someone has a different opinion on a game from you; you hate WoW, but they still like it...

After you found this out, would you try to hurt or demonize this person either physically or mentally until they think differently? Have you ever done it? This happens a lot lately and I've been wondering about your own experiences.

Attack is a pretty broad term. I've certainly pointed out why I think their ideas are stupid, and I'm sure I've gone beyond what can be considered good taste. I don't think there has ever been a considerable amount of malice on my end though.

EDIT: Also, if I wasn't initially clear, I've never been close to a physical confrontation over a difference of opinions.

Exactly. For example there was this girl once who said that she liked Backstreet Boys and I definitely let her know that I think it's crap music. I didn't "attack" her, it was more in a joking manner. I once told a girl that I think Titanic is an awful movie and she thought I had no taste and that it was a great movie and I just didn't understand because I'm a guy. I didn't attack her either, but it's possible she thought I was. In situations like that I will say why I think it's crap and it might come across as an attack. But can I not make fun of movies that I find shitty anymore?

Physically? No. That's something I wouldn't expect from a five year old.
Verbally? Yes. If they are spilling something that is pure bullshit from their mouth which could be to the detriment of others.

If an opinion can be wrong, then it must be about something that's either fact or fiction. If someone believes in something that's fiction, that's a problem.

Well, when someone is of the opinion that it is OK, even stating is should be mandatory for adults to have intercourse with children (incl. babies)...

This was several years ago, out and about in town. Some random non-drunk guy came up and said it while I was waiting for my chips among other waiting people outside a fish&chips, I punched and another nearby bloke spitted the person in the face.
