How to see people that activate runes on Margok?

Our guild has been having some trouble on heroic Margok, mostly due to runes being constantly triggered. We're however coming to a halt trying to figure out repeat offenders. It seems the only way to track who triggered them are those who lived and got the debuff, but it says nothing of those who died to the extra damage.

Anyone had success where I failed?

Do you guys use logs? If not, then do so and you will be able to see who triggers them

It says on the chat with "X has triggered mine explosion" or something similar. With logs it's possible to track debuff if they survive and probably damage or death if they die.

We do use logs, but the damage from triggering the rune has the same spellid as the wider AoE.. Namely Destructive Resonance. That makes it possible to check each trigger and see who received damage, but that's largely inefficient across multiple attempts and multiple activations per attempt.

There is an emote in the chat similar to when someone explodes bombs on Siegecrafter Blackfuse.

There is a unique debfuff I believe people get for triggering it. Idk what it's named though.

You take more damages from Destructive resonance if you trigger it. You can use an expression like that to find who triggers it :

1) look for all the damage taken from Destructive Resonance (156673) then taken by ability
2) Filter the expression with this :

effectiveDamage > 100000

With that, you get the following :

That's not our logs, but thanks a lot gillai! I had no idea you could filter by damage taken! That covers most of the mines. When I went through the logs manually there were a couple where a rogue or hunter would miss or deflect the damage taken from detonating a rune and they will obviously not show using this method.

You have a lot of commands 'SQL-Like' to get what you want from the logs.

It takes a little bit of time to get used to it but if you are familiar with a little bit a programming, it will be easy.

You can even save them and reuse them. Really useful to see the fail like your bombermans in live during progress.
