    SSDs in raid0

I have 2 Mushkin Chrono Enhanced 180gb SSDs in Raid0, a while ago the raid drive upon bootup stated that it failed to get recognized and I thought it was done for. After a couple restarts it fixed itself and went back to member disk and booted up normally. A week or two ago the same thing happened. I am curious, does this mean the SSDs are starting to die? Or is it a fluke? or any info on this would be good. Thanks!

    Aveline's amazing work!

I'd say either one of the SSDs or the raid controller is screwing up.

Have you checked the SMART statistics?

Or actually, before you reply, BACK UP EVERYTHING ON THE DRIVES.

I don't think you get much warning when SSD's go bad.

I have very limited time with raid 0... i all i know was it was a pain to convert a system back to plain jain operation when it was originally raid 0...lol
