It's normal yeah. Haste is decent for you, and crit is good for you if you're a prot warrior. Not that sure about prot paladins, if you are one.

Not sure if this is the case, but you can actually change what loot you get from drops. You right click your portrait and select "loot specialisation" or whatever it's called; in your case it might be on your dps spec.

There isn't a 'weight' for items dropping with bonus armor for tanks- you're just as likely to get any other stat. Also not all gear has bonus armor on it. Cloak,Neck,Rings and Trinkets have Bonus Armor. It's exactly like Spirit for healers.

If you bothered to read the 2 lines in the OP, you would know his loot spec was prot...

All stats are "useful" to everyone with 2 exceptions:
Spirit is only useful for healers
Bonus armor is only useful for tanks and gladiator warriors.

Note: "useful" means it is better than nothing, which is enough for it to drop. The stats may still be very bad compared to better secondaries, like mastery for dps monks

Crit increases Parry for Paladins just like it does for Warriors and of course is beneficial for threat(like all tanks).

Haste is no good for him as a Prot Warrior Tank (assuming he's talking about Warrior and not Paladin), it's great for his dps but not desireable for tanking.

Haste may not be the stat you want as a tank (assuming Prot Warrior) but now all secondary stats drop for all specs, with the exception of Bonus Armor which will only drop for tank specs. If you're playing Prot Warrior then Crit is very valuable to you as a tank and you should be searching for it alongside Mastery and Bonus Armor. Versatility is decent but it falls behind those 3 stats for most situations.

It's annoying to get Rings/Neck/Cloak drop without Bonus Armor though I'l admit, since the stat is so strong that getting an item without it feels like you have been short changed, in most cases a higher Ilvl piece of gear becomes not an upgrade purely because without BA it's worse than your old gear. It's something that should probably be fixed.
Probably running on a Pentium 4

Bonus armour can only drop on cloaks, neck, rings and trinkets from what I've seen
For the Alliance, and for Azeroth!

Haste and Multistrike are Prot Paladins worst stats.

You want as much BA as possible on the slots it actually drops on (neck/cloak/rings/trinkets) and then crit/mastery/versatility on the rest.

    Bonus armor on rings/cloak/neck/trinkets

    crit on everything
    mastery/versatility on everything else

You should probably provide some background if you are going to provide a subjective interpretation of current stat weights.

Crit is better than mastery, if you are Seraphim and don't have the tier bonus (which I expect you don't).

Even then math indicates that as gear increases mastery's value will as well, so stacking crit isn't necessarily the smartest way to go moving forwards.

Then again at your level picking either would probably be fine so why am I arguing.

I also questioned this and ticketed my prot roll giving me the +str/crit proc trinket off Tectus rather than the one with stam and bonus armor.

I ticketed it asking if it was a bug or intended. Apparently is intended and I quote form the GM -"Although the stats aren't your most preferred choice, the strength is still useful to help hold aggro on bosses" /facepalm
