    Taming The World achievement

Need some help getting clear information on this one.

So far I've got the Taming Northrend, Taming Eastern Kingdoms, and Taming Outland achievements done but I know the World one requires 40 total tamers. Now I know a lot of people have had to create a toon of the opposing faction to get the elusive 40th tamer after being stuck on 39/40 but I'm still fuzzy once I get the Taming Cataclysm achievement then the Taming Pandaria achievement where I go from there.

If I'm rambling I apologize as the coffee is just now starting to clear the morning fog.

There is a horde trainer in Barrens.
What I did was create a level 1 troll and run him there.

Ok I can see that but does that require levelling a horde toon or just pick up the Account-wide quest so that it shows on my alliance toons?

You cannot get the quest to battle the trainer if you're not Horde.
If you get the quest as Horde, then switch to an Alliance toon, you still can't battle him because he won't react to Alliance.

Ah ok so for Taming Kalimdor achievement and those tamers unlocked I need most likely a horde DK then? Because I really don't want to have to level another toon from scratch even with heirlooms.

Maybe Blizz changed something there but this was not true at start of MOP. After picking up quests on horde characters I was able to do it after relog on ally toons.

I picked it up on another server on a horde toon and see it on my lock but have yet to try it out.
