Anyone been banned through trade chat with things completely taken out of context?

So I just got banned for something I said in Trade Chat yet the entire conversation going on was surrounding said subject. I pull up my email and I find that I've been banned for 3 days, figures. The thing is, what it linked was something I said in Trade Chat that you know looks horrible but with the context it was actually in and what it was being regarded for was normal and understandable. I had a few people in my guild say that they don't like talking in Trade Chat because anything can be taken out of context and if you get reported it gets looked into regardless of whatever the subject was...

Alas I never had this issue in any other expansion (didn't play MoP) and suddenly it's happening.

Because it doesn't explain that trade chat was all joking around. Who thought I was serious? Like would you take someone seriously popping into a trade chat banter and joining in? They were literally talking about drinking piss and how it was good for you albeit it was just joking.

Lol i would´ve reported you aswell if i´d still use trade or general chat. Left it on the first day i set foot in my garrison for exactly this reason, lots of idiots writing lots of bullshit

Seems silly when trade on my server is a constant stream of obscenities way worse than that.

Also, why do people feel the need to report? There is a language filter, use it if you are too delicate and feel entitled to never be offended.....but if you feel that way and play online games you are going to be disappointed quite often.

It really is no ones business what other people want to report. If it isn't warranted, nothing will happen anyway. If you are afraid that something will happen, though, you might want to reconsider your behaviour.

You get internal ticks by your name. After so many it's an automatic ban - Call Blizzard support to get it overturned - or wait it out. Good Luck.
