I don't do this "gaining" weight thing. I don't like food unless it's bread really.
Mmmmm bread.
Also I walk/bike literally everywhere, so yeah.

No, and don't listen to anyone saying they have.
If you lose weight over the holidays you aren't participating in the holidays properly, thus nullifying the answer you gave.
You over eat and have lots of chocolate at the holidays.

There's your issue.
I don't like food all that much. Also if I was a health nut, I'd probably tell you that's a bad excuse for gaining weight, and something about lack of self control and blaming the holiday instead of yourself.
But I'm not, I just think it's silly that you're saying no one's lost weight because you can't participate in Christmas because you didn't eat a lot.

Doesn't even matter about the gym. At the most basic level, it's just how many calories you're eating, versus how many calories your body is using. Most likely, they just don't need to eat a lot in order to feel full; you'd have to do some pretty intense exercise to work off a meal from McDonald's.
You'll get better results if you eat healthy stuff instead of sodium-filled burgers, though
Hell no...in fact I'm scared to step on the scale after eating rich foods for about a month straight.
Constant struggle at family gatherings. I just do not have any craving for sweets, ever. I don't put syrup on my pancakes or waffles at breakfast. I deny the pie after dinner. It's not that I dislike those things, I just find them unnecessary.
"Participating in the holidays properly" is simply being present, and not causing any conflicts.
Ahahahahahahaha!.. No. In fact, I'm not even sure I've gained any weight, and I dread to stand on a scale to see what damage has been caused this month.
Though I am paying attention to what I eat, as I have a medical condition which restricts me in the amount fo excercise I can get a day.
I had a devastating flu over the holidays once. Does that count as weight loss?
Definitely not! However, that doesn't matter because I've been intentionally putting on weight for the last 6 months anyway (bulking, uuuuuuurgghhh!!!!)
I don't really gain wait during the holidays, but in winter I do gain some weight that I shed off during summer. Probably because I don't move as much in the winter.
I lost 13 pounds, mostly because I've been sick for 2 months.
Exactly the same weight as before... Stuffed myself with chocolate, crisps and sweets which just made me not feel like eating as much proper food.
The body is perfectly capable of passing unnecessarily consumed fat without using it.Originally Posted by blah blah blah

I think people have this ludicrous picture in their head that your body is taking fat cells from shit you eat, and then sticking them around your body, which is just bullshit. not only is it bullshit but it's stupid. If that were the case your immune system would immediately attack those fat cells (organ rejection style) and thus eating any fat, would lead to a painful agonizing death at the hands of your own immune system.
Your body has to create it's own fat cells. And it has an easier time doing that with glucose than it does with dietary fat.
I think that I lost something like 2 kg pretty much without noticing.
