Need a suggestion for a new years movie maraton

Each year we do a movie maraton with friends. So lots of popcorn, soda drinks, vine, beer ,pizza.

I got this set up...but i need something too last us for at least 6 hours. (they usualy come at 17.00 and we wait inside till 5 min till midnight)

1.st year we had:
The Fellowship of the Ring
The Two Towers
The Return of the King

2.nd year we had:
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

3rd year we had:
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Now for the 4th year i dont know what movie maraton should i run. I was thinking:
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

Any other suggestions?

god yeah, marvel marathon.. That's the best i can come up with, plenty of them to watch for hours..

I used to do something like that, but i would do 48 hours.. shit gets real fun around 30 hours in.. after drinking yourself sober and just wired as FUK!

Terminator 1-3 (and perhaps the last one with Bale if you consider that one part of the set)
Aliens 1-4
The godfather 1-3
Batman 1-3 (Begins, the Dark Knight, the Dark Knight Rises)
Die Hard 1-4 (was there a 5th..?)
Mission Impossible 1-4
Star Wars 1-6 (!!)

If you want a really huge marathon there's Bond movies, though that series is extremely uneven. To put it charitably.

Top of my mind of movies with sequels;

Terminator 1-3 (and perhaps the last one with Bale if you consider that one part of the set)
Aliens 1-4

I recommend dropping Terminator 3, all Alien movies beyond 2, Godfather 3 (personally I think even 2 was redundant), Dark Knight Rises (and if you do the classic Batman movies stick to Burton, not Schumacher), all Die Hards apart from 1 and 3, possibly all of the Mission Impossibles, and all the prequel Star Warses.

Assuming the purpose is to watch good movies, rather than just a lot of movies.
