    Upgrading to EVGA gtx 970?

For the past couple days I've had the Geforce GTX 970 ftw acx 2.0 in my shopping cart. I haven't been able to hit the complete order button. I need some insight into my purchase.

I mostly play wow on my pc. I'm currently at a 1080p resolution. I get about 30 fps in stormshield. When i'm raiding I get about 50-60 fps. If i upgrade to a GTX 970 will i see a noticeable difference? Will a 1440 monitor be a better purchase? My PC's specs are below. I can't utilize sli with my current mother board.

Graphics Card - evga GTX 660ti
    Ram 16gigs
    Processor i5-3570k
Monitors Syncmaster S24b350, and a really old syncmaster 2232 gw.

Moved your thread to a more fitting section for your upgrade assistance that is needed.

A 1440 monitor will decrease your performance if anything, it won't increase it.

WoW is a mostly CPU intensive game, however, the jump from the 660TI to the GTX970 will definitely be noticeable. Not only are you doubling your video RAM you are going from a 196-bit to a 256-bit GPU.

However, if you are a wondering if it will give you the biggest performance boost for $350... I am honestly not sure. You may want to look at some comparative benchmarks between better CPUs and GPUs.

It'll be an upgrade from a 660Ti by a huge margin. It will definitely max out WoW in terms of graphics. However in object heavy situation, where it's relying more on the CPU you'd want to OC your CPU, the GPU wouldn't help with that.
Object heavy being like loads of people on the screen, a lot of particles flying all over the place, stuff like that.
