    Does this mean they didn't travel or they literally worked every single working day in a year? Reading the article it seems to be about travel which kind of confuses the matter for me.

    Basically this. Think I took one day off and I have some absurd amount of leave saved up. I simply do not trust my employer not to fire me if I go on leave.

    It means no time off... other then weekends. And christmas, new years, thanksgiving, presidents day, labor day, independence day, etc.
