We shall see! I am STILL Not Sold on the Noctua, because of the BROWN fans. Regardless of the quality. I would hate to buy it and have them ugly things sitting and collecting dust in a box somewhere. They would not have permission to uglify my beautiful internals! Having used one of the Corsair Hyrdo series in this PC, I know its rather functional, and that they do a hell of a job in cooling. I'm thinking about the Water 3.0, as It'd have plenty of space to occupy the top of this case. Pricey, yes, but mama likes it and gave the Okay(what a surprise......)!

We think alike, that is the water cooler i would use......if i liked water cooling lol. I just feel air coolers are a better solution, never have to worry about them and they are quieter.

Here is another option for you, its not QUITE as good as NHD-15 (within a couple degrees tho) but it looks good in your case:

    Or

Cryorig is a better cooler but be quiet is a solid cooler as well with probably better mounting system and support.

Alright, It's official. I hate them all after seeing them mounted in a machine. Aesthetically retarded. Now if you look at this review of the case, and see the Water 3.0 installed in it(about 24:55 in). It looks beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kayq0Ad8A0Y

lol! Ya i hear you, in a large case like the phanteks luxe even large tower heatsinks do look a little odd. That water 3.0 is a nice cooler and matches the fans inside the luxe out of the box. Keep this post updated i wanna see pics when you get to building!

Will do. As long as the government stays on the ball, should be ordering in 2 weeks. Can't wait. Last night it took me 45 seconds to zone from big maul into my garrison. Then a minute to at tab into hearthstone. FML

Just an update. Ordered parts today. Scaled back on a few things, didn't want to, but bank has a maximum daily spending limit, which is pretty dumb. And I didn't feel like making orders and having partds arrive in 2 days time.

Added a 1tb HD, Swapped to the Ugly Asuz Z97-A moBo, Chose the Asus Strix 970 video card(which seemed like a decent price compared to the Msi), and back down to an i5 4690k.

Figured i'd get it put together an run it for a while, and if need be, ill upgrade to the i7 in the future. Should have it all here Wednesday, and assembled after Work that night.

I kept the water 3.0 ultimate. Mainly for aesthetics.

Cant wait to see it, i have narrowed down my case choice to a razer nzxt h440 or an enthoo luxe (decided i want it over the pro). Maybe your pics will turn me one way or the other

Alright, Have all the parts here, and assembled. Have let Prime 95 run just for a couple of hours, and seems to be pretty good. I definitely will tweak with the Bios, after this weekend(as im taking the Ole lady and kids out of state and they don't know it). But For the short run I've done I'm showing max temps of 53 degrees @ 4.1ghz on the 4690k.

This case was pretty nice installing parts in, I'd definitely buy it again, now knowing what the hell I'm doing. I'll put up some pictures when i get back also, as it's time for me to go to bed, Work in 7.5 hours, then an 8 hour trip immediately following.

Oh i missed your post from a few days ago, ya thats one thing ive heard about this case is it is a real joy to build in. Im sure you could push that CPU a lot farther too when that day comes : )

Well, I realized when I hopped on just a little while ago, that it's not reading the 1tb HD. When I initially set everything up, it wasn't reading the Asus DVD Drive(but it WAS reading the hard drive then). So I switched some cables around, and it still didn't read it. So I took the DVD drive out of my Old PC, and "magically" it read the Asus Drive, And the old drive, but then not the HD. So I am still trying to figure out what's going on that it's not reading the 1TB Storage drive.

With the cooler, RealTemp shows Idle right at 25 degrees C. I am positive this one will crank up with ease, ill just have to do some reading and what not on how to do so, as I haven't dealt with this Bios style before. Im sure it's easy, but i wanna make sure its done right.

The HD thing is just annoying me right now. =(

Make sure you have the sata drivers installed, there are two different sata controllers on your board an intel one that functions at sata III 6gbps and others that function at lower speeds. The intel ones should function right outta the box without drivers (but still, install updated ones for these also) but you should save these for high speed devices like SSD's, just make sure you install the second party sata drivers (usually marvel branded). The motherboard manual will tell you which sata ports are from what controllers, and sometimes you can make it out just by looking on the small print on the board.
