    Best CPU for Gigabyte GA-z77X-UD3H

I've been having some issues with matching new motherboard with CPU, finally bought Gigabyte GA-z77X-UD3H. I would like to get a recommendation for best and most compatible CPU for this motherboard. Gonna be using 8 bg Ram ddr3 and separate cooling. Thanks for all your in put.

i7 3770K is the most performing CPU that is compatible with the motherboard in question.
    If it's too pricey, i5 3570K.

If you don't want to spend too much money, look into getting an i5 3470 or 3470S. Solid $200 CPUs.

If you don't want to spend that much, the i3 3245 would be a decent choice for $150. And the i3 3220T for $120.

For best results though, tetris is right on.

What exactly is the situation? The board is already 3 years old, but its a 'new motherboard' that you don't have a CPU yet? Why was the board purchased if you don't know what CPU you were getting?

If it's new... I'd probably return the board and get something current.

If it's not new, and you are considering upgrading at some point, it might be worthwhile to get something cheaper as a holdover.
