    - EB was used only two times in a fight of almost 4 min. Probably due to the BL at pull, but I think there should have been a possibility to use it somewhere in between and get some more BoKs out.
    - RSK every ~10 sek: I think it's OK, but probably there could have been some casts more.
    - Don't know where I can look it up in the logs if you did it or not: You can use Transcendence to teleport back to the boss after the knockback, giving you ~2-3 sek more uptime everytime he uses it. At least that's possible in nh/hc, don't know about mythic.
Those were the things I saw while glancing over your log. There are probably other things, but that's for better players to see / analyze. Probably I just gave bad advice because the boss has something on mythic which reduces melee uptime I don't know (yet).
Thanks for the input! Really appreciate it.
It's more or less the same boss with Pool strategy, there's a little movement involved but I just used Flying Serpent Kick to cover the distance. I was using transcendance. I think I should be doing atleast 32k dps on the fight.

I did some napkin math, and I missed 5 RSKs (which is huge), 2 Chi Waves and 1 FoF. That comes out to about 317k damage, which would put my dps (for the time I was alive, 228 seconds) at 28.5k, which is still incredibly low. My dps for the 228 seconds I was alive was 27k (according to WCL dps(a) column), so that's a 1.5k dps increase I missed out on.

Still, there must be something even bigger I'm doing wrong?

Here is a Heroic Butcher I did last night trying to fix my dps, only came out to 28k =/:

Pretty confident I'm pulling at least somewhere near where i should be in terms of numbers. But i am getting a little worried that maybe there's room for improvements that i may be missing. If anyone could pick apart the logs and my gear. That'd be appreciated, don't hold back. I'm here to improve.

My guild is currently progressing on Mythic Butcher (3% wipes), and I was wondering if there was anything I needed to improve on my part. For example, is there anything I am doing wrong in relation to dpsing which could gain us a bit more extra damage, same goes for healing. Thanks for the help!

Hi I'm Amarathe on Aerie Peak. Twice now i have been sat for pulling subpar dps on imperator. One of the times they brought in another dps monk that was 5 ilvls higher than me and pulled 10k+ higher than me on every attempt. They are starting into mythics now but I want to be giving them a reason to keep giving me a raid spot.

Says i have not posted enough to post links.

    Hello WWs..

I've a question that really got me crazy which is should I usually use TEB whenever trinket/frostwolf enchant proc regardless the stacks of TEB I got or I should usually go for 10 stacks and 10 stacks only ?

My guild just got our first Mythic Butcher kill tonight, using the strategy where everyone stands at the water area, which I believe is the same one you're using? I'll try and compare your log to my own (which you can see here, if you're interested: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...ght=4&source=9 )

By the way, using Transcendence for higher uptime on boss is so overrated; I had 99.47% by just using Roll to get back, highest ranked WW on WCL has 99.58%. For all intents and purposes, there's no meaningful difference.

Alright, well looking at your log, one thing I noticed is that your average FoF damage is extremely low, with only 25k per hit. I'm at 673 ilvl with an average of 39.5k per hit. Are you careful to line TEB up with FoF? It should be your most damaging ability on ST, but it's only your fourth. Even your auto-attacks dealt more damage than FoF!

Hm, and according to the log only 10% of your FoF hits were crits. That's really weird, and probably the reason why your dps is so low. Not sure what's going on there; seems like you got rekt by some retarded RNG, but that's obscenely unlikely since your BOKs were crits 25.8% of the time and ~30% for auto attacks and RSK.

Your Multistrike percentages are also quite low, do you by any chance have a lot of Haste gear? Good for Tectus/Bracken/Twins, not so much on Butcher.

I do line up FoF with TeB, but I did not have TeB for 1 FoF in both those logs (Heroic and Mythic). Not entirely sure what's going on with the crits. I may just not be hitting buttons fast enough overall or something is the conclusion I've arrived at after simming the fight. My counts for each spell seem to be what they should be at according to simcraft, except for Jabs and BoKs (I've added my expel harms to the jab count). That said, after some more practice + 690 ring, I ran an lfr and did okay damage on Butcher. I'll post another Heroic Log tomorrow. Thanks a ton for the help! I really appreciate it.

    Hey everyone,
I'm coming to you in my hour of need. Yesterday we were having some fun with Mythic Butcher, and I did an overall underwhelming job.
I played with CB/Xuen/Serenity. I made sure to line up FoF/TEB and trinket/ring proccs as nicely as possible (although some tries just didn't seem work out for me).
The things that I already know I need to change: Change 35 MS gems to 50 MS gems.
Otherwise, I see my DPS in the opener varying depending on luck with TEB stacks and CB in the beginning.
I pray to god, that I'm just making some crucial mistakes, because being that low in DPS and not being able to fix it is really frustrating.
    Thanks guissses <3

You should map out your opener in Excel or something to keep track of the order in which you use abilities. I try to consume 8 Chi during my opener + 2x CB, which usually lands me at 7-11 stacks of TEB depending on RNG. I do something like: Pre-Expel Harm to 5 Chi, TP - RSK - Jab - BOK - CB - BOK - CB - TP - Jab - TEB - FoF - Serenity. I don't think it's a good idea to delay your first FoF, Serenity and possible on-use trinket (I've got Coin macro'd to TEB) until you're sitting at 10+ stacks, but maybe that's just me.

I think your FoF damage is generally way too low, that goes for the average damage per hit as well as general usage. On attempt 14 for instance you could've gotten at least 1 and probably 2 more off during the time you were alive. On my guild's first kill yesterday, FoF was my most damaging ability, which is what you want on ST. On your attempts FoF is always below BOK, and sometimes even below auto-attacks.

As far as I can tell, on every single attempt where duration is 4 minutes or longer (meaning you hit enrage timer) you've died at approximately the time Butcher enters berserk (you've consistently got ~90% activity). Are you using Dampen Harm and Fortifying Brew to mitigate damage from stacks?

I don't mean to sound like a twat, but looking at your raid's dps as a whole, it seems to me you won't be able to meet the enrage until you've all gotten some more gear. On your best attempt total raid damage was ~105m, and Butcher has something like 120m hp if I remember correctly; you could suggest to your officers that you get Ko'ragh down first since that's much less of a dps race. Just my 2 cents.

sounds weird. what could be the reason for that ? mainly AP, I guess ?! As I already said, I try to use every FoF inside of TEB, so that can't be it. I'm really curious about that.

Yup, I did. Our healers did kind of a bad job, and I was testing around with CDs a little, but I'm pretty sure that I'll have a fixed CD rotation on our next attempts.

It's OK, you don't sound like a twat. Our Raid dps was way too low, mainly because we had to go without some guys from the main raid. The enrage timer won't be a serious problem for our main raid.

So, thank you for your help. Does anyone else have any idea, what might be wrong ? Or is it just the soft-hitting FoF that I don't use enough ?

You're in the 94th percentile, not sure what the problem is. You did 32k, 40k would put you in the top 35 in the world. With your 669 ilvl you can't expect to be competing with people 15 ilvl ahead of you.

The main problem is that I can't go more than 27-28k dps on single target such as butcher's fight .. is it because I'm 669 or I'm doing something wrong?

Looking at your Heroic Butcher kill, I can tell you need to completely change your opener, and be better at utilising your cooldowns.

For the opener - always begin the fight with max Chi by casting Expel Harm continuously pre-pull. Then, don't use the first FoF until you've built up some stacks of TEB, and use both your CBs in the first 10 seconds. This is my event-log for Mythic Butcher a couple of days ago; I'm not saying that's how a perfect opener looks, but I dare say it's a very good approximation of one: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...=9&view=events
Here is a link to your own event-log; compare the first ~25 seconds of mine to yours: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...=1&view=events

In terms of utilising your CDs better; you cast your first Serenity 21 seconds into the fight, which is too late, then RSK - BOK and only then do you pop TEB. Then, 8 seconds into Serenity you start casting FoF, wasting 2 seconds of the buff.

At 1m 43s into the fight you cast TEB, then mess around with both a Jab, EH and CW before you finally start casting FoF - then, you pop Serenity when there's only 3 seconds left of TEB, and your TP buff wears off mid-Serenity as well. It also appears as though Butcher did Bounding Cleave while you had Serenity up; make sure to watch DBM timers, or you waste several seconds of the duration.
Always, always, line TEB up with Serenity, and make sure you get the full duration of Serenity + FoF off during the 15 seconds the damage increase is active by casting one immediately after the other wears off without them overlapping.

During the last Serenity cast at 3m 26s you refresh TP with 10 seconds left on the duration, and TEB expires as well. You re-cast it quickly, which is fine if you had 10 stacks, but definitely preferable to get the full duration of Serenity during the same application of TEB.
