Stat Priority For Frost 2014/01/13

With the haste buff which Frost had received, is haste the new main stat?

Also how good is unholy currently in terms of Highmaul?

Seems that Wdps > Str > AP > Haste > Mult > Vers > Crit > Mastery is the stat priority for many high ilvl gear Frost DKs.

for the exact stat priority i would suggest for you to download simulationcraft and make a scale sim to your stats.

For me, multistrike sims out 0,05 better than haste. Haste scales better, so yeah, haste rocks everything at higher ilvl.

At 675 ilevel 2h: Str > Haste > Mult > Vers > Crit ~= Mastery

Any idea how stat weights are looking for UH DK's? Seeing as UB + NP is becoming popular and with the haste buff could this be the way to go?

PvP is speculative, however the general consensus is that Versatility is best.

672 iLevel 2H Frost Simming -> 7.85 WDPS > 5.31 STR > 3.73 AP > 2.95 HASTE > 2.49 MULTIS > 2.19 VERS > 2.12 MASTERY > 1.80 CRIT

Really surprised on Mastery being so Close to Versatility.

DPS with Gem/Enchant Mutlistrike -> 30931 dps
DPS with Gem/Enchant Haste -> 31058 dps

Yet I don't see anyone replacing gems and enchants from multistrike to haste, but probably spending 15k trading enchants and gems for a 100 dps gain is not a priority.

Also another curiosity :
MAX DPS with Gem/Enchant Mutlistrike -> 38155 DPS
MAX DPS with Gem/Enchant Haste -> 36999 DPS

With this I conclude that Haste is a more stable dps stat and multistrike is a more inconsistent stat.

Due the old "same stat enchant/gem". If the item has haste, enchant/gem haste on it, if it has multi go the multi way.
