Blackrock Foundry opens with Normal and Heroic difficulties available.
World boss Rukhmar becomes available in Spires of Arak.

February 10, 2015:

Mythic difficulty becomes available.

February 17, 2015:

Raid Finder Wing 1: Slagworks (Gruul, Oregorger, and The Blast Furnace) unlocks.

February 24, 2015:

Raid Finder Wing 2: The Black Forge (Hans’gar and Franzok, Flamebender Ka’graz, and Kromog ) unlocks.

March 10, 2015:

Raid Finder Wing 3: Iron Assembly (Beastlord Darmac, Operator Thogar, and The Iron Maidens) unlocks.

March 24, 2015:

Raid Finder Wing 4: Blackhand’s Crucible (Blackhand) unlocks.

This is almost exactly what they said the release date would be, so that's nice.

Personally, I'm OK with it. However if we have another excruciatingly long wait between the final raid of this expansion and the release of the next expansion then I will be cursing this decision. There are still plenty of silly things to do in Highmaul.

Soon? Isn't the first Tier arguably late? Kinda makes me think the Two Tier expansion is a reality. Not that I care that much if we're still getting three raids.

We have had around 3-4 weeks of raiding so far - summer holidays smack in the middle. Way too early for us - but that's life.

first comment here...i honestly was not expecting this. I knew BRF was coming in February, but feb 3rd? seems rushed to me, even though BRF was on the beta testing, still seems so early from time expansion came out to a 2nd full aucutal raid. esp 1 with 10 bosses.

Also that LFR schedule is terrible...i understand the idea that they should delay the opening a week or so, but 2 weeks? and then looking at the date, wing 2 comes out febuary 24th, but 3rd isnt until march 10th? thats another 2 weeks...and another 2 for last wing...geez...

You would think if they wanted the content available to see for casuals, that you know...we could aucutally get to play it, I'm probably not alone in thinking that with that long of a wait, they are forcing us to do normals, as normals isn't that much harder (at least in highmaul atm) and by 3 weeks in, gear wise it will be even easier to pug normals which is superior in every way....

So even an argument for alts, your main raids normals/heroic and alts do LFR casually, that still sucks. Raid itself comes out FEBUARY 3RD...LFR doesnt see the "end" till...MARCH 24TH...does that make any sense!? if you simply waited 2 weeks after normals come out, hop into a pug, even bad pugs, as long as you have the ilvl pretty much can get carried, same for Highmaul atm, so lets say you clear half after 3 weeks in, other half in 2 more weeks, you'd still be done 2-3 weeks at least before you can even do LFR versions...with much much better gear, not only in ilvl but itemization...

My 640 paladin is doing normals in pugs from the LFG no problems, i gave up on LFR because not only is it so stupidly easy, the itemization is terrible..even normals isnt that much better...losing reforging was given as a good thing for wod, but honestly reforging would make the itemezation at least somewhat more tolerable, for a lot of classes secondaries to be optimal.

Its january 14th, knowing now if i stick with LFR i wont even see the end of the main story/raid of wod till almost freakin april...so disappointing.

December 16, 2014 - Raid Finder Wing 2 (Tectus, Twin Ogron, Ko’ragh) unlocks.
January 6, 2015 - Raid Finder Wing 3 (Imperator Mar’gok) unlocks.

Two months from Highmaul to Blackrock. Less the 4 weeks of summer holidays

The casual mindset of I dont have time/effort to do scheduled raiding is plaguing this entire game and honestly I believe it will be its downfall if it continues on.

Thats how it should be. If you are only willing to run LFR then i think you should only get one wing a month. Getting casuals to do the VERY easy normal/heroic modes should be top priority. The casual mindset of I dont have time/effort to do scheduled raiding is plaguing this entire game and honestly I believe it will be its downfall if it continues on.

If I was a casual I'd just show up when the last wing was open clear it in 1 day then be done for the week lol.

Foundry has higher ilvl gear, tier sets and better secondary stats for some classes. Optimally you want to do both.

If the gear being obsolete before it's released didn't work, if higher ilevel, better models, exclusive mounts/pets/achievements, etc all didn't work, do you honestly think the delay will? I still have no interest in joining a raid guild and starting to raid "real raids." again, I'd honestly rather just stop playing WoW until Blizzard gets their shit together. Neutering LFR isn't going to make "real raiding." more appealing. The vast majority of people didn't try it when it was the ONLY endgame that WoW had, it's just not appealing.

Again, good luck with that. Casuals didn't raid when it was the only option, adding all sorts of perks to "real raiding." didn't get them to raid, neutering LFR most likely won't either. I think until you've spent time as a nonraider you can't actually see how amazingly unappealing joining a raiding guild and raiding actually is. I know when I raided I didn't understand it either, but now that I've spent time not raiding I can't see any reason why anyone would ever want to subject themselves to that bullshit.
