Just how noisy is it? It is sad that he was asked to leave for something that was not his fault but if he is distracting a few dozen people I can see their point.
they should have special viewing areas for those people... that way they can be as noisy as they need to be due to their own circumstances and others wont get annoyed by the noise.
or at the very least offer them the first 2 viewing times, warning the normals that they could expect certain amount of special in there -- at a reduced cost of course.. perhaps $2 for their potential trouble and with the chance to get a refund within the first 15 minutes of the movie in case the noise level is too insufferable.
Without being there and hearing how loud it was I don't know what to say. It is one of those situations where I can see it from both sides. Sadly, I don't think it was handled very well, but sometimes that is how it is.
are you for serious with the bold?
also, unless you're sitting on top of him the ventilator isn't going to disturb you all that much considering the volume most movies play at.
beyond that, if you're the type that gets so wound up over noise in a public space you probably shouldn't be in a public space with a ton of people.
That's the risk you take going to a movie theater. If it's not some kid throwing popcorn it's a handicapped guy with a ventilator. That's just part of the cinema experience. This is also why we need home cinema. This incident would make a good sales point. :>
Im pretty sure the noise from Taken wouldve covered up his noise.
Messed up though. Ive been in theaters with people like him before (maybe different respirators) and the noise was barely audible.
#JusticeForRucatiPSN: Iskalla74, inv for Destiny if you need help
dont see the problem with normals and specials.. just differentiating between both groups
one group, as we can see here, is oversensitive about trivial things such as words and noise.
the other group, cant help annoying others due to their disabilities.
neither word is degrading.
what should i call them then...??? group a and group b? regular folk and the rest? there will be segregation regardless of the term used.
edit: it is not a matter of the ventilator... while it is a public place, the ticket price is payed to enjoy the movie with a certain expected level of comfort... if some annoying normal jersey chick is talking her head off on the phone, then reporting her and getting her kicked out is the right thing to do as well.

or you could just call them people.
i mean, "normals" that play with their phones annoy me. can i separate us into normal people and phone fucks and warn people that phone fucks will be in a special time (and that they can only be there during that time) so this is the warning for a lot of phone fucks?
Also, the fact that you're saying anyone with a disability is always annoying? Christ.
