Level 90 boosts should be free

Just add a button to character selection screen that lets you create a character at level 90.

You make a thread which states 'should be' yet you give no reason why it 'should be'?
Let me ask you a question. Why should lvl 90 boosts be free?

    No they shouldn't.

You make a compelling case for free level 90 boosts, I disagree however!

No thanks, it's enough with people that have NO clue how to play their class already in the pugs... no more boosted chars that probably dont even have 25% of their skills on the toolbar (coz it's so many *whuuuaaa*) ,,,

Give me a reason why people should have to pay for them.

If you want a "free 90" you can go play on the PTR for as long as it's up. Heck, as far as I know you don't even need an active WoW license to play PTR. There are plenty of players who make PTR their home, and howl like children when it's taken down, so go for it.

If 90s were free, there would be no reason for Blizzard to ever care about designing compelling levelling content, or balance, or anything. Already they mostly don't care, this would just be the final nail in the coffin.

The day 90 boosts come free is the day I quit.

No reason you should have to pay for a skip for 90% of the levelling content? Yes. Yes there certainly is.

Especially because the only reason the boost is being offered as a paid service at all is just to prevent customers from using the workaround of buying multiple boxes of WOD with the free boost, paying to transfer characters, and having multiple defunct WoW licenses that they only used for the boost.

Tell me, why do you play an MMORPG if you want to skip the majority of it?

You don't have to pay for a level 90 though. If you have time, but no money, buy the level 90.

If you have time, but not money, level the character yourself.

Why then, shouldn't we be able to get max level, mythic geared characters for free?

You're not giving any decent arguments here, you're just saying "well why not?" which is ridiculous.

But people can already buy level 90's. Being able to buy level 90's with real money going into Blizzard's pockets is ok, but once you don't have to pay for them, that's crossing the line?

    Yes.

I explained why in my edit.

Max level and mythic geared characters are different. You can't buy them with real money. But you can buy level 90 characters. So why shouldn't they just be free?

There's really no other reason that matters or makes sense, nor is there any moral reasoning required as a level 90 boost isn't exactly food, shelter, etc.
And I am asking for a justification for the decision to make them cost money.

But you aren't forced to pay for them. It is, however, completely optional to do so. Either you spend real money on it, or time. Up to you which one you choose.

Why wasn't there a lvl 60 boost button in TBC?
    Lvl 70 in WotLK?
    80 in Cata?
    85 in MoP?

Why wasn't there such a thing?

Oh wait. Cause people just level. But now that people actually have a button for a instant lvl 90, they start to complain that it has to be free? Are you forced to buy that boost? No.
If they never added the button, then you wouldn't have made this threat. People would just level up like they normally would.

The button is there. It's in the shop. Go check it out. They added it already.

Ask Blizzard. Because they provide a way for people to do that.

You shouldn't be able to skip the game full stop. If Blizzard however want you to be able to they should be free but on a long cool down.

I mean a button, when you're creating your character, to just choose to make it level 90 instead of level 1, not a button to the shop. Why not just give players the chance to choose their level in the character creation screen? They should have the tech. It doesn't cost them any money when I create a character at level 60 or 70 or 80 or 90.
