Exclamation Warning! Insane TCG items duping!

Quantity of mounts in AH from January 13 until today increased by:

    EU:
Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger: from 107 mounts to 254 (147 more in two weeks)
Magic Rooster Egg: from 129 mounts to 264 ( 135 more in two weeks)

    US:
Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger: from 74 mounts to 197 (123 more in two weeks)
Magic Rooster Egg: from 85 mounts to 283 (198 more in two weeks)

And before someone gets happy because mounts are getting cheaper, you'll never be sure what will happen next. This is insane and maybe Blizzard just simply removes them. You never know. Be careful what you are buying.

Unlikely. They never have, and I do not see them start doing it now. If you buy them over the AH (this is the important part!), you should be fine.

I bought a lot of cheap Spectral Cubs and Soul-Traders during Mists to resell them with a profit, and never had any issues because of it.

I know someone who got his mounts removed after some days. They were store mounts, but still, it's your choice if you want to risk it.

That is a different story. Like I said, if you buy them on the AH, you should be fine. Store mounts that people advertise via the chat usually are not duped, but bought with stolen credit cards - which is why Blizzard will remove them later.

store mounts ... those are easy scamming business. those duped mounts are not. you keep them, but they are still very expensive.

I've profiteered from things like this in the past via buying them from the AH.

Nope, it is definitely happening - huge influx of tiger mounts on the US realms I play on - level 1's spamming in trade to sell for 250k and instantly logging - just like savage bloods - but nope, dupes don't happen! Uh, huh - not sure why people are in such denial about it.

    inb4 "dupes dont exist"

As mentioned you're generally safe buying duped items through AH. Blizzard is very unlikely to remove them after the DS gem fiasco.

Yes don't worry people, keep buying them Blizzard won't interfere.

Well this is awkward, just bought a Swift Spectral for 520k on eu servers... : /

None of the duped Crimson Deathchargers were removed when this happened in Wrath.

There's no way for a player to know what is "duped" on the AH, which is why Blizzard won't remove them.

How about talk about something else. For example realizing that dupes exist and it can happen for every other item and that we shouldn't be ignorant and ask Blizzard to do something about it? What's with the comments like "don't worry you are safe". That's not the point.

i dont know about mounts but u sometime cant lvl duped pets like the lvl 6 spectral cat or not use it at all even if u buy it in ah so if u dont test them out knowing its duded then u are scaming ppl by reselling it.

If duping exists, which nobody has shown anything except anecdotal evidence of, and has existed for all the years or even half of the years that players claim it has (despite no proof of it!) - Then Blizzard is the most incompetent company to ever exist. I think they're a shit company roughly half of the time, and I'm far from "white-knighting" them as the cool kids say these days, but even I don't think they're THAT incompetent.

Or... there have been previous dupe methods that get fixed, and new ones arise later. Or the dupe method is a fundamental problem with the game that can't really be fixed. See Diablo 2 duping.

With zero concrete proof (Periodic spikes in the availability of certain items is not good enough.) that duping exists after all these years. Nothing shows up on sites dedicated to such things, ever, but yeah dupers are clearly the most tight lipped people on the planet. Super super top secret and classified duping methods for an MMO. Okay sure, why not?

please just stop embarrassing yourself in these threads. that goes for everyone else too despite the overwhelming evidence choosing to ignore it all and create strawmen.

Go look through the last thread on this - look at testimony from GM's, look at items being removed due to being dupes (which shouldn't happen anymore), look at massive market changes in TCG for ethereal / tiger cub / etc. Look at spectral tigers with no made by tag, look at spectrals with charges, etc.

Yes people can't link you direct to duping methods - because THAT IS EXPLICITY BANNED ON THESE FORUMS.

myself and a few friends bought death chargers when they were like 5-10k gold each. another friend bought like 10 of them and they got removed. honestly i think if you dont buy in high quantity, blizzard wont do anything to take them away so if i can get a magic rooster for cheap, im definitely gonna do it.

I did play with them - a lot of profit comes from buying pets at lvl 1 and reselling them at 25; this also applies to TCG pets and the like. Oftentimes they will sell for more, despite the fact that leveling them hardly takes a lot of time.
