Its like the police have forgotten or just done give a fuck about all the bad press that they've been getting lately.
Never said you need to. Was just listing an example of when you couldnt just hit the lights and stop at the corner and may have to circle the block. Assuming you are traveling at 50 mph, and you are about 20 feet from the corner, you would have to hit the breaks. If cars were behind you that wouldnt be possible, and hitting the lights wouldnt work. No need to be so defensive, friend. Just saying things arent always so clear as they seem.
'murica!
I'm shocked he wasn't shot.
If a police officer asks you to put down a golf club, you don't argue. Just do what they say and make your case after complying. I carry a baseball bat in my truck, but I also carry a mitt and a ball.
I am not going to argue with you about the over policing in the U.S. If you are suggesting they just choose to harras a guy over answering an armed robbery call, then you are an idiot. Sorry, but you have to be to think that.
Stupidty? She claims the dash cam is recording yet she will go ahead and just fuck with the guy and make up lies? If she is going to lie to make an arrest why not claim she hit her? Then it is assault!
You are not free to disobey a cop. This is why they have obstruction charges. You may know you did nothing wrong. The cop doesnt which is why they must stop you and find out if you are the right person they are looking for. Really...I am at a loss of words. How could you have this type of thinking?
Belgium isn't perfect either.

Hopefully she gets fired for gross incompetence and power tripping.
Not sure if it's been pointed out, but the very next paragraph:
No recordings surfaced to bolster Whitlach's version of events, and after a state lawmaker questioned the arrest, the city attorney's office took another look. Prosecutors dismissed the conviction, and the police department apologized for the arrest and returned his golf club. The department said this week the officer had "received counseling" from her supervisor -- which O'Toole initially deemed an appropriate resolution.
At this point surely you have to question if the entrance exams for American police has perhaps set the bar a bit to low.
