    Animals that get bad raps?

What animals get bad raps? My picks:

1.Sharks - sharks get a bad rap, even though sharks rarely actually attack and kill people, great white sharks usually mistake surfboards as seals.

    2. Pit bulls and other large terriers - they get a bad rap because of their accusations to violence. Pit bulls are terriers, a retriever would bite a human on the limbs and let go, but terriers are known to get the grab the neck or face and hold.

    3. Chimpanzees (and other apes) - because of the their human appearance and their lack of self-control, they are noted for attacking humans. However, not all apes will attack people; gorillas, orangutans and bonobos rarely attack people and deaths by them are almost unheard of.

    4. Cats - cats can get a bad rap, because they are not like dogs. A cat loves you, but sees you s an equal, but a dog sees you as a master.

    Just my opinion

They cant even remember who you are after 10 minutes.

To be honest killing all apes would be a smart choice technically.

Wolves. Ranchers shoot them on sight. The biologists say that wolves aren't that big a threat to ranching but you can't tell the ranchers that. The government even reimburses the ranchers for lost livestock due to wolves.

My cat loves me and it would make no sense to kill all apes, because it would destroy any more possible information that we could use to solve ourselves as well as completely destroy an amazing group of animals.

Well they are the best candidates for interspecies disease transmission we have :X

They are violent, but it's not all their fault. They did an experiment on chimpanzees and found they have the lowest amount of self-control of any ape (including humans). Chimps are honestly very dangerous, more dangerous than gorillas and bonobos, that's why when I get older I'm probably going to work with other great apes.

Half of the world's chimpanzees and gorillas living in the wild are dying of Ebola, but amazingly bonobos and orangutans have managed to avoid catching both SIV/HIV and AIDS.

True, they just need to laugh awkwardly and sound like a robot being hit by a train.

Yeah, you're not lying. The problem with dogs is that sometimes they could be too trusting and naïve and they can't really help it because it's in their genetics. To be honest though, I never cared for pit bulls, I prefer the Tosa.

Same with our Staffy, lovely dog but some people jump to the wrong conclusions due to ignorant people in the media.

    Dobermans.

Mine are beautiful and friendly. But super protective. The have the intelligence to know the good guys from the bad. Dobermans now days are very safe and sound. The breeding in the 70's did leave a lot to be desired, which gave them a bad rap.

    My boy.

Very safe and protective are virtually not combineable.

Manageable danger is the word not safe under the assumption that they are well trained and kept in an enclosed space when not supervised.

With this reasoning I guess we could apply it to every person as well.

Humans have a lot higher agression threshold and execel in communication.

Dogs are good at it no question but being "protective" I hope is no euphemism for being agressive against people they dont know.
